Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data the personal applications developed by the independent developer behind this site ("the developer", "we") collect, how it is used, and what rights you have. It applies to all apps published by this developer, including the ones that request access to your Google / YouTube account through OAuth.
1. Short version
- The apps run locally on your own computer. There is no server.
- We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on any infrastructure we control.
- OAuth tokens and configuration files are stored on your disk, in the app's own folder, and you can delete them at any time.
- We do not use analytics, cookies, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs.
- We do not sell or share any data — we physically cannot, because we never receive any.
2. What the apps actually touch
Depending on the specific app, it may access:
- OAuth credentials issued by Google for your own account, so the app can perform actions you explicitly ask it to perform (e.g. upload a video to your YouTube channel). The refresh / access tokens are saved as plain JSON files next to the app on your computer. You may revoke them at any time from your Google account permissions page.
- Local files you choose to open in the app (media, configuration, logs). These never leave your machine unless you explicitly instruct the app to upload them somewhere.
- Third-party public APIs that require no user authentication — for example NASA's public image library or Wikipedia. Requests to these APIs contain only the search terms the app is designed to look up, not information about you.
3. What we do NOT do
- No account creation, no user database, no email list.
- No telemetry, no crash reporting sent to third parties, no usage analytics.
- No cookies, no localStorage on any domain we own.
- No access to any of your Google data beyond the specific scopes you approved on the OAuth consent screen.
- No transfer of your data to any country, because there is no transfer — the code runs on your machine.
4. Third-party services
When you use the apps, they interact with services operated by other companies under their privacy policies. The most relevant ones are:
- Google LLC — YouTube Data API, OAuth sign-in. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
- NASA — public image / video API (no authentication, no personal data sent).
- Wikimedia Foundation — public Wikipedia API (no authentication).
5. Data retention and deletion
Because the developer has no server, all data lives on your disk. To remove everything the app has ever stored, simply delete the app's folder. OAuth tokens you granted can also be revoked centrally at any moment from the Google permissions page linked above; revocation immediately invalidates the tokens on our side as well as on the app's side.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR, CCPA and similar frameworks you have the right to access, rectify, export and delete personal data a controller holds about you. The developer of these apps is not a controller of any personal data, because no personal data reaches us. If you believe otherwise, contact us at the address below and we will investigate and comply with any valid request within 30 days.
7. Children
The apps are general-purpose utilities aimed at adult users. They are not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU) and we do not knowingly process children's data.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the apps after a change means you accept the new policy.
9. Contact
The developer's public contact e-mail is displayed on the OAuth consent screen of each application (Google's "App information" section) and inside the Google Cloud Console / Play listing for the project. Use that address for any privacy question or request. Home page: index.html.
